Glen Lyon

I was roaming further and further with the little Panda, who is the best of oldies that I could imagine! One day I was driving to Killin, but then decided to drive on and take the turn off to Ben Lawers. It was a very small road, with sharp turns, and with the mountain on one side, and the river far below on the other, it was quite hair raising, while the sheep that just up and walk into the road without looking left or right made for a few tense and nerve wracking moments, as the smallest jerk on the wheel can make a car tumble down to the river!
The road lead to Glen Lyon, so beautiful that I decided to stop and climb down to see what it was like at the river, and if I could have my barbeque there. It was quite a stiff climb, but it was a gorgeous day, the sun shining down warm and no sign of clouds in the sky, and it was so absolutely just the place where I could relax after a very tough week. So once I found a way down, I was so content I stayed for the rest of the day. Looking up and down the river, the view was just amazing, and after my lunch, consisting of minted lamb chops, breadrolls and tomatoe, and for pud a chocolate mousse that is bought in small holders, and tasted incredible.
I lay reading for a while, then dropped of easily into a deep sleep, but was roused with a strong wind blowing into my face. I jumped up, not knowing where I was, shouting at the person who opened the window to close it, as I was cold, and then I was fully wakened up as I fell with a big splash into a swallow pool! Luckily I was not hurt, as the riverbed was very rocky, but what I did find out, was that the water, after running over the sun baked rocks, were quite warm, and I decided to look for a place to swim the next time I came, as it was now getting quite chilly, the clouds having positioned themselves in a way that would drench me if they started unloading their burdens!
I was however quite a sorry sight when I got back to the hotel, and tried to creep in at the back without being seen, but Joe must have been at the look out for me, as I was just in my room when my phone rang, and an extremely  agitated Joe commanded to know why I didn't organise to have the restaurant and the pub done. I was beginning to get really cross, as it was not my job to organise the staff, although I had told Joanne that it was again my day off, and she would have to come in after breakfast and do the diningroom and the pub.
As I was still off the next day, I went up to Joanne, and gave her a scold for not doing her job, at which she again started her shivering, but I knew it was just make believe, so I turned my back and went to my room. I was getting real tired of those two, as I was doing a lot of their jobs, like the baking, and cooking, that was definitely not my responsibility, and a few times now I had to do the diningroom and the pub before I could go away on my days off.
Joe and self were going on famously sharing the cottage, and I soon relaxed, as I was maar a bitty wary of staying with my boss in such a small place, sharing the bathroom and rest of the house. Some people made big eyes at each other on hearing about it, but I felt that if they so liked a bit of gossip, let tham, as Joe and me were actually quite innocent!
Liz and me were becoming better friends by the day, and I asked her to go camping with me on my next day off.
