I was so disgusted with Anne, and could not think that such a strange person walked the earth. I went down to get my breakfast the day after the Ayr outing, and found Anne doing breakfast looking as though she had climbed out of the dirty washing basket. She had on a black t-shirt, all wrinkled up, and the front covered in tomato sauce, and I knew that it was from doing Pizzas, as I always have a tomato sauce spot on my left breast after doing the pizzas, heaven alone knows why, but at least I wear a pinny! Anyway, with her hair that had again grown about two centimeters of grey hair, showing off starkly against the pitch black dye, the dirty clothes and a pair of flip flops, she did not look good, and definitely not fit to serve breakfast.
I packed myself some cold stuff and filled my flask, and just as I was leaving, she told me casually that she had just done the last breakfast, and now she can go and have a shower and brush her teeth! Nearly flipped my lid!
I had a lovely day, walking on Ben Lawers, then I went to my spot in Glen Lyon, where I had a lovely swim in Christina's pond. This pond I have found one day when walking along the bank of the river, and it was so beautiful, with a waterfall cascading over some high rocks. At first I was a bitty catfoot, as I could see that it was very deep, and the water made a kind of small whirlpool underneath the rocks, but after some contemplation I went in cautiously, and enjoyed it so much that it was hard to get out again. For a while I forgot my disgust with my employer, but the morning's incident just kept on creeping into my thoughts!
I went back quite early, as I had to work the following day, and wanted to do some washing, but went round to say hi to Hanna and Liz, and found Liz and Fiona sitting with Hanna outside in her garden, with about three empty, and one half empty bottle of red wine on the garden table, and the three of them quite sozzled!
I moaned to them about Anne, but they were so at one with the world that they couldn't see why I was so upset, and plied me with drink, telling me that the world would not end because my employer served breakfast with unbrushed teeth!
Fiona, the youngest of the lot was sent to the village shop for more wine, and it wasn't long before I was very mellow, and also very gay, and laughed my head off at the other's antics. This is quite a regular thing, and usually started when Fiona came to visit Hanna after she stopped working at two.
She was a lovely young woman, who had seen her bit of hell, as her husband, who worked for the forrestry department, had fell from one of the high pine trees while working, and died, leaving her with two small kids.
After a long time she and Ewan mcGreggor, one of Rob Roy's descendants, had become a couple, and were very happy together.
